The last few months . . .

Kyle and I found out we were expecting our first baby the day after my birthday in February. Happy birthday to me! We knew when Kyle came home from Iraq last August that we wanted to start a family but weren't sure how soon we wanted that to happen. We were living in El Paso and were anticipating a move to Savannah, GA. We wanted to go on a big trip before we had a baby, and we went to Costa Rica in March in between our move. We left El Paso and drove to Idaho to my parents place and they took care of our dog Grady while we were gone. So, consequently I was pregnant, and miserable on our trip. Right before the trip the morning sickness set in. I felt so bad for Kyle because I was so cranky and sick the whole time. We didn't get to do a lot of the things we had planned, like boat trips, etc, but at the end of the day we had a good time. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

One of the coolest things we did in Costa Rica was go canyoning. We basically repelled down waterfalls, the largest being 75 feet. It was so fun!

Fast forward a few months and we are now in Savannah. We have been here since April and have settled in. Kyle is working at Hunter Army Air Field and he is the chief Physical Therapist at his clinic. He is currently the only PT there but is expecting a new grad from the Baylor program to be here in the fall. It is a small clinic. He has just a few employees but I think he enjoys being the boss. Post is only about 5 minutes from where we live so it is nice to have such a short commute.

I am working part time at a medical clinic that specializes in hormone replacement therapy. It has been great to just be working part time. It gives me time to get ready for the baby and rest while I can. Our lives are going to change so much in the next 3 1/2 months, so we better enjoy our extra time while we can.

Here are the latest ultra sound pictures of baby Sela. He does not have a name yet. We are planning to keep it a secret, but to tell the truth we have no idea what we are going to name him. Lots of ideas, but nothing set in stone. We think we will have it narrowed down and wait until he is born.

Here are some pictures of us from the beach yesterday. We went to Hilton Head which is about 45 minutes from Savannah. You can take dogs to the beach in the early morning and evening so we took Grady. She loves the water.

26 weeks pregnant! 3 1/2 more months to go!

Thanks for looking at our blog. Hopefully I can keep it updated as we get closer to the arrival of baby Sela!
